What do the awards mean?

Each restaurant submits a traditional buffalo style hot wing and an alternative style wing to our panel of judges. Judges score each wing submitted based on taste, appearance, texture, and sauce. The restaurant receiving the highest overall score in the combined Hot and Alternative categories wins the Thighsman Trophy. The restaurants with the highest score in the Hot category and the Alternative categories (if they are not already the overall winner) are awarded the Best Kick'n Hot Chick'n and the Best Kick'n Alternative Chick'n. The judges also select the winner of the Shake Your Tailfeather award or best dressed booth.

The People's Choice award is given to the restaurant who receives the most votes from event attendees. Each person at the event is given 1 People's Choice vote.

The Raise the Bar award is awarded to the restaurant who raises the most money for Magic Moments.
